Solution Strategist - Commerce Cloud
Overview
Commerce Cloud is seeking a Solution Strategist who will use their past experience with e-commerce, marketing service, or corporate retail operations background to join our Solution Strategy team. At Salesforce Commerce Cloud, the Solution Strategy team is part of an umbrella organization called the Retail Practice, which includes subject matter experts on implementing, using, and optimizing Salesforce Commerce Cloud, in addition to digital commerce and omni-channel best practices. Reporting to the Manager, Solution Strategy, this individual will play a strategic role by using their more technically oriented skill sets to service and support existing clients. In this role, one must drive ongoing innovation and support for our Customer Success teams with up-to-date programs and tools to assist our Customers in growing their top-line sales.

Responsibilities
  • Drive "best practice" adoption of the Commerce Cloud Ecommerce platform throughout the entire client lifecycle
  • Assist clients in the design, definition, and deployment of their website(s)
  • Provide input regarding overall design of business solutions and guidance to functional specifics including top-tier, high complexity accounts
  • Define technical business requirements and create functional specification documentation
  • Support Client Services, Retail Practice, and Sales team as a subject matter expert in end-to-end solution functionality, design and operation
  • Use direct client experiences to work with the Commerce Cloud organization for continuous innovation
Qualifications
  • General working knowledge of many of the following business functions and/or concepts and demonstrable willingness and ability to rapidly learn and apply knowledge in these areas:
    • SaaS software and business models
    • Data Mapping and Modeling
    • Information and integration architecture
    • eCommerce Best Practices (market-specific and global)
    • 3rd party integrations
    • Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
    • Multi-site architecture and management (domestic and international)
    • Merchandising and planning
    • Content management
    • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
    • Analytics and Ecommerce KPIs (key performance indicators)
    • User experience design and usability
    • Order management, payment process and fraud
    • Taxation
    • Fulfillment and logistics
    • Customer service
    • Integration of Cross channel marketing programs
    • Online marketing, including Cost per Clock (CPC) and Cost per Action (CPA) programs
    • Email, cross channel marketing and integration
    • Minimum of five (5) years in retail and B2C ecommerce experience in areas of merchandising operations, information architecture and user experience design, systems integration and project management skills
  • Previously managed technical business requirements for a minimum of eight (8) client implementations
  • Bachelor's degree is required; MBA preferred
  • Ability to solve implementation challenges with a high degree of autonomy
  • Proficient knowledge of GSuite (or Microsoft Outlook), PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically in the area of technical writing and functional specification documentation
  • Proficiency in working with teams/matrix organizations
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Working knowledge of HTML, XML, JavaScript, and Ajax web development languages
  • Web services and XML based systems integration (both real-time and batch)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the year domestically and internationally
  • Hands on experience with Eclipse based development tools is a plus
  • Knowledge of (or experience with) SDLC (software development life cycle) is a plus
